A fascinating prediction by the nonprofit AI Futures Project. They forecast a rapid progression toward artificial superintelligence (ASI) by late 2027, driven by AI systems automating their own research and development processes. This acceleration is expected to result in AI agents surpassing human capabilities in tasks such as coding and research, potentially leading to significant societal and economic transformations.
