Hannah Fry wrote an article for The New Yorker on the power of experiments. But she also emphasizes the potential downside of companies testing things without us knowing what they have learned:Â
"... experiments have become ubiquitous. They’re the ultimate fact-finder, overriding the need to rely on intuition. But, for some, their popularity is also a cause for concern, because they aren’t always used to nudge our behavior toward the greater good. They’re also helping organizations to manipulate us in ways that might not be in our interests."Â
