1. podcast tip 🎧: Online Experiments at Booking.com with Lukas Vermeer and Hugo Bowne-Anderson from DataCamp.
2. Listening to podcasts has gently become a new habit for me. It is the perfect medium to fill “in-between times” like commutes, exercising, etc. Here are my personal favourite podcasts.
3. interesting academic paper 📝: 'Many analysts, one dataset'. In this research: "twenty-nine teams involving 61 analysts used the same dataset to address the same research question: whether soccer referees are more likely to give red cards to dark skin toned players than light skin toned players." Important finding: subjective analytic choices influence research results. Lesson learned: analytics is never 100% objective. Think about that the next time you say "let the data speak".
