Another favorite of mine, Gerry McGovern, wrote a spot on article on Creating a seamless customer experience: "It’s not new technology we need, but a new organizational model. We need much flatter, collaborative, leadership-everywhere organizations. We can start down that road by setting objectives and metrics that can only be fully achieved if the silos work together." (can't agree more)
Should Data Scientists only work on algorithms or recommendation engines? No, says this Data Scientist. Because "most of what people talk about as being data science isn’t what businesses actually need".
